Welcome. Glad you're here.
For the past few years, I've came across talented and warm-hearted individuals who didn't know how to market their value or future capability. That's when God stirred in my heart that some of the gifts He gave me are skills that can benefit others. Which is why I began a private service (now, official business) to help those in search of a more confident résumé and defined digital marketing - with integrity and character as the foundation.
This business idea has been on my heart for over two years. I struggled however, to answer these questions: Is this is what I should do? What is my purpose? How will this bring glory to God? While scared and uncertain, I have had a handful of individuals come to me publicly or privately with the following questions/statements: Can you actually do this? This isn't a business. You do too much, so you shouldn't do this. Will this make you money? Does anyone even care? It doesn't seem like you care about God or building the kingdom.
Rather than be discouraged or filled with self-doubt, I remembered these words I once typed, "Self-doubt sinks its way into our attitudes, actions and most importantly, our thoughts. It is that ugly monster inside telling us to second-guess ourselves, over-analyze relationships, funnels us into comparison, brews of negativity and pushes us to give up. Self-doubt is the enemy and it must be defeated. God intended for us to be blessed and go confidently in His ways, not with doubt."
On that note, I prayed over, talked about and waited for peace and understanding. Those comments, questions, posts etc. have sat with me and have ultimately been part of the source of my motivation and humility for this transition. I don't have all the answers but one of the truths I have clung to in this process is:
"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms." - 1 Peter 4:10
This is the beginning of my stories of work and worth.
